Trail and Greenway Planning
Greenways and trails tie communities together, making a safer environment for all who participate. Our firm has assisted in the creation of numerous greenways, bikeway and pedestrian systems in both rural and urban contexts. The firm acknowledges environmentally sensitive project areas and historically significant areas, many times making these elements part of a trail's interpretive program. Our trail and greenway planning services help make communities stronger and more livable.
Preservation Planning & Design Guidelines
Our firm has assisted individuals, communities, municipalities and non-profit organizations increating preservation plans that not only identify what is unique about their project area but also provide realistic, and often phased, maintenance, preservation and rehabilitation recommendations. Our firm also assists communities in the preparation of Design Guidelines. Guideline studies provide sound historic preservation recommendations, resulting in unique, livable areas enjoyed by local citizens as well as visitors. The design manuals we produce provide a clear understanding of a community’s design review process as well as general preservation information.
